Quick reference to our popular learning formats
Writing Group Meetings
Writing Group meetings are usually organised around 4-6 participants in the course who will meet at least 5 times during the semester to discuss the drafts of their text. The main idea is to generate discussion about the learnt content, and to learn by reviewing. It’s a useful format to support writing productivity, but also to prepare for supervisor meetings.
Shut up and Write Sessions
Shut up and write sessions are generally organised around a structured timeframe, moderated and supported to provide you with writing time and support when and if you need it. The advantage of shut up and write sessions are boosting your writing productivity, writing together, and time for writing.
Student Conference
At the end of every semester, we aim to organise a student conference for students following part 2: public speaking. The conference is organised by the students for the students and aims to provide a safe space to put into practice everything you’ve learnt and invite guests to see you perform. Generally, conferences are organised in real locations, following a real conference schedule.
